Health and safety are a primary concern when working under these circumstances and with heavy equipment and it is vital to ensure that you are fully conversant with all the regulations surrounding manual handling, lifting equipment and working at heights both in terms of your own safety and also that of your employees.

Manual handling is defined by the HSE as “…any transporting or supporting of a load (including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof) by hand or bodily force”. If you use manual handling in any part of your business, you’re sure to find the below of interests.
