Modern Slavery Policy Statement

Europa Engineering Group of companies are committed to ensuring that its staff and any workers it supplies(directly or indirectly) are not subjected to behaviour or threats that may amount to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and or similar human rights abuses.

We are also committed to ensuring our approach to tackling modern slavery in our own business and throughout our supply chain is consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

This statement sets out Europa Engineering Group of Companies actions to understand all modern slavery risks related to the business and to ensure principals are maintained to prevent both slavery and human trafficking,


Our Business:

Europa Engineering Group of Companies provides Fabrication and Welding, Machine Shop, Non-Ferrous Foundry, Lifting Equipment Manufacture, Inspection Webbing and Round Slings manufacture.

Our Fabrication and Welding facility (Europa Engineering) are specialised Mechanical Handling and Lifting Engineers main customers are UK based automotive related industries. We also service the construction industries, power generation and rail transportation industries among others.

Our Machine Shop facility (Pattinson Brothers) specialise in medium to heavy machining with  a capacity of up-to 40 tonne. Our customers are UK based including Oil& Gas, Valve and Pump, Mining, Forging, foundries in a variety of materials from Carbon steels to Stainless Alloy’s and Bronze Alloys.

Our Non Ferrous Foundry (Brass Founders) UK customer base includes Oil & Gas, Engineering Castings, Bearings, Plaques, Sculptures, and Street Furniture in Non Ferrous/Ferrous. Tin & Lead based White metals, Aluminium and Alloys LG2, G1, AB1, AB2.

Our Lifting Equipment facilities (Lifting Gear Products & Plum-Alti) provide lifting equipment manufacture and inspection to mainly UK based sectors such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Marine, Transport, Automotive, Chain Slings, Shackles, Eye Bolts, Bespoke Lifting Beams, Webbing slings and Round Slings.

Europa Engineering Group of Companies, Modern Slavery Policy along with our Anti-Bribery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our Process for Managing Risks.

In order to assess the risk of Modern Slavery we use the following processes.

  • Identify and asses potential risk areas when considering taking on new suppliers and review our existing suppliers.
  • Review the potential risk at regular intervals including the possibility of Re-auditing a supplier or conducting spot checks.
  • Protect Whistle Blowers.

After due consideration we have not identified any significant risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain.

Training:

To maintain awareness and ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business, our Modern Slavery Policy is included in our employee induction.

Our Commitment:

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Europa Engineering Group of Companies slavery and human trafficking statement. It has been approved by the board of directors who will review and update when appropriate.
