Description
Globestock STOP Fall Arrester Block
The Globestock STOP Fall Arrester is a high-performance Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) engineered to provide reliable fall protection for professionals working at height. Designed and manufactured to demanding international safety standards, the STOP combines robust construction, smooth lifeline operation, and rapid fall arrest performance to protect users across a wide range of industrial, construction, utility, maintenance, and infrastructure applications.
Available with either a galvanised steel, stainless steel, or high-performance synthetic HMPE lifeline, the STOP SRL is offered in 10m, 14m, 25m, and 30m lengths, allowing users to select the most suitable fall protection solution for their specific working environment.
Featuring an integrated shock-absorbing braking mechanism, automatic retractable lifeline, fall indicator snap hook, and supplied top hanging connector, the STOP provides dependable personal fall protection while maximising user mobility and reducing trip hazards associated with traditional lanyards.
Manufactured to comply with EN 360:2023, selected models also meet ANSI/ASSP Z359.14-2021 and CSA Z259.2.2-17 (R2022), making the STOP suitable for international work-at-height applications.
Advanced Self-Retracting Fall Protection
Unlike conventional fall arrest lanyards, the STOP Self-Retracting Lifeline continuously extends and retracts as the user moves, maintaining minimal slack throughout operation.
In the event of a fall, the integrated braking system activates instantly to arrest the fall over a very short distance while reducing impact forces transmitted to the user.
Benefits include:
- Rapid fall arrest activation
- Minimal free-fall distance
- Continuous tensioned lifeline
- Improved user mobility
- Reduced trip hazards
- Enhanced safety during vertical movement
This makes the STOP ideal for workers regularly climbing, descending, or moving around elevated work areas.
Steel or Synthetic Lifeline Options
The STOP range offers the choice of traditional steel cable or advanced HMPE synthetic lifeline, allowing users to select the best solution for their environment.
- Steel Lifeline Benefits
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- High durability
- Suitable for harsh industrial environments
- Available in galvanised or stainless steel
- Ideal for fabrication, heavy engineering, offshore, and construction
Synthetic HMPE Lifeline Benefits
The innovative synthetic lifeline has been developed in response to customer demand for lighter, easier-to-handle fall protection equipment.
Advantages include:
- Lightweight construction
- Easier handling and transportation
- Improved energy absorption during fall arrest
- Corrosion resistant
- Will not rust
- Reduced risk of kinks or cable deformation
- Less risk of hand injuries from damaged wire strands
- Lower electrical conductivity, making it particularly suitable for utility and electrical network applications
The HMPE fibre provides outstanding strength while significantly reducing the overall weight of the unit.
