Description
The Yale RPYS-1215 Hydraulic Test Rig is a high-performance, fully welded test bench engineered for the safe and accurate testing of hoisting equipment up to 12 tonnes. Specifically designed for professional workshops, maintenance engineers, and inspection facilities, this test rig allows thorough assessment of pul-lifts, lever hoists, chain blocks, wire rope pullers, and other lifting devices following repair or routine inspection.
At the core of the RPYS-1215 is a robust YCS-21/150 hollow hydraulic cylinder made from heat-treated chromium-molybdenum steel, hard chromium-plated for corrosion resistance and longevity. The cylinder features bronze bearings and a long 150 mm stroke, providing smooth and precise load application.
Operation is straightforward: the lifting unit is positioned between the upper and lower shackles, and the chain or lifting device is tensioned against the oil cushion of the partly advanced piston. The applied pulling force is measured on two high-quality pressure gauges, offering readings for both small and large test items. Pressure gauge 1 (GGY-1005) displays 0–160 bar, while pressure gauge 2 (GGY-1003) covers 0–400 bar, both with 100 mm dials and 1.0% class accuracy for maximum precision. Quick couplers enable fast gauge replacement, minimising downtime.
For functional brake testing, the hand pump allows counter-pressure to increase the applied force after the general lifting test. For frequent or repeated testing, the hand pump can be replaced with either a low-cost air hydraulic pump (PAY-6) or an electric hydraulic pump (PY-04/2/5/2 M) for automated or high-volume applications.
The test rig frame is constructed from low-strain, fully welded steel, providing exceptional stability under full load. It features upper and lower suspension hooks, including two 5 t pull-rings for smaller devices, a lateral pump table, and a removable lower suspension, which allows testing of plate clamps and other specialised lifting tools. The base is pre-drilled for permanent mounting, ensuring safe and secure operation.
The fine-adjustment pressure valve and threaded bar M27 allow infinite force adjustment, giving operators precise control during testing. Additionally, a clearly marked chart provides easy calculation of test forces, helping to meet inspection standards.
With a weight of 225 kg and dimensions 2580–2730 mm x 2160 mm x 1840 mm, the RPYS-1215 is a robust and durable solution for all professional hoist testing needs.
