Description

Self Colour Collared Eyebolts – M6-M64

Self Colour Collared Eyebolts are drop forged from high tensile steel and heat treated for use as lifting points in a range of lifting and material handling applications. Available with metric threads from M6 to M64, these collared eyebolts provide working load limits from 0.1 tonnes to 20 tonnes, depending on the selected size.

The collared design provides a positive seating surface against the load when correctly installed, while the forged construction provides a strong and durable lifting point.

These metric collared eyebolts are available in a self colour finish and are marked with the relevant working load limit (WLL), size, CE marking and product identification mark.

Working Load Limits

The working load limit depends on the size of the eyebolt and the direction of loading. The published WLL applies to the specified loading conditions, so the eyebolt must be correctly installed and loaded in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

For non-axial loading, reductions in WLL may apply. Do not assume the full rated WLL applies when the load is not aligned with the eyebolt. If you require clarification on the appropriate WLL for a non-axial application, contact our team before use.

Important: Always check the product drawing and manufacturer’s technical information for the full dimensional details and applicable loading conditions before use.

Applications

Collared eyebolts can be used as fixed lifting points where a threaded lifting connection is required, including applications involving:

  • Machinery and equipment
  • Fabricated steelwork
  • Material handling equipment
  • Industrial lifting applications
  • Maintenance and installation work
  • Lifting and positioning of equipment

The suitability of an eyebolt depends on the application, installation method, load direction and supporting material. The supporting structure and threaded hole must be capable of safely withstanding the applied load.

Installation & Safe Use

Correct installation is essential for the safe use of any lifting eyebolt.

Before use, check that the eyebolt is undamaged, correctly sized and fully engaged with the available thread. The mating thread should be clean, correctly formed and capable of supporting the required load.

The eyebolt must be loaded in accordance with its rated application. Non-axial loading can reduce the allowable WLL, so additional care is required where the lifting force is not aligned with the eyebolt.

Never exceed the applicable WLL and always inspect lifting points before use for signs of damage, distortion, excessive wear or corrosion.

If you are unsure which eyebolt or WLL is suitable for your application, contact Lifting Gear Products for advice before ordering.

Certification

Certificates are available for these collared eyebolts, including Certificate 2.1 and Declaration of Conformity.

Please select the required certificate when ordering or contact our team if you require certification for a specific application.
