Description

PlumAlti Heavy-Duty Duplex Webbing Sling – 2t WLL

The PlumAlti 2 tonne Duplex Webbing Sling is a green, double-ply polyester sling rated at 2,000kg in a straight lift. Compact, lightweight and easy to handle, it is an everyday sling for workshops, warehouses and units where lifting is done with jib cranes, chain hoists and portable gantries.

The Natural Partner for Jib Cranes and Chain Hoists

Many jib cranes, manual and electric chain hoists, and portable gantries are rated up to 2 tonnes, which makes the 2t duplex sling a natural match. It is quick to wrap around a load, light enough to hang on the crane or hoist hook between lifts, and flexible enough to fold into a drawer or toolbox when not in use.

Everyday Lifting in Warehouses and Workshops

The 2t sling is well suited to lifting light machinery and equipment, crated and palletised goods, light steel sections and small fabrications. It is also a good choice for shopfitting, display units and joinery, where the soft webbing protects painted, laminated and finished surfaces from marks and dents. Fit a wear sleeve wherever the sling passes over sharp corners or edges.

Green Colour Coding for 2 Tonnes

Green identifies a 2 tonne sling under EN 1492-1. The colour lets operators check the capacity at a glance and makes it easy to tell apart from the 1t violet sling, which is often kept alongside it.

2t Working Load Limits

Using the standard EN 1492-1 mode factors, the WLL for each hitch is:

  • Straight lift: 2,000kg
  • Choke hitch: 1,600kg
  • Basket hitch (parallel): 4,000kg
  • Basket hitch (0–45°): 2,800kg
  • Basket hitch (45–60°): 2,000kg

Check the mode factors on the sling label before each lift.

Strong, Compliant and Traceable

Two layers of 100% high-tenacity polyester give the sling extra strength and wear resistance compared with a single-ply (simplex) sling, which is ideal for frequent day-to-day use. It has a 7:1 safety factor, is produced in accordance with BS EN 1492-1:2000 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and is supplied with a Declaration of Conformity.

The blue traceability label displays the WLL, effective working length, unique serial number and mode factors for straightforward inspection and record keeping.

Steady Lifting, Indoors or Out

With maximum elongation of 3% at WLL, the sling keeps loads stable and easy to position. It can be used between -40°C and +100°C, so it is equally suited to indoor units, cold stores and outdoor yards.

2t or 3t?

The 2t sling handles most jib crane, hoist and warehouse lifts. If your loads are close to 2 tonnes, or you need a choke hitch, step up to the PlumAlti 3t Duplex Webbing Sling (Yellow).
