Description

PlumAlti Heavy-Duty Duplex Webbing Sling – 1t WLL

The PlumAlti 1 tonne Duplex Webbing Sling is a purple, double-ply polyester sling rated at 1,000kg in a straight lift. As the smallest capacity in the duplex range, it is light, compact and easy to carry, making it a handy sling for tradespeople, installers and facilities teams who need a safe, reliable lift for smaller loads.

A Compact Sling for the Van or Tool Bag

The 1t sling rolls up small enough to keep in a van, tool bag or kit box, so it is always on hand when a job needs a lift. It pairs well with lever hoists, beam clamps, A-frame gantries and davit cranes, giving installers and maintenance engineers a simple, portable lifting setup for site visits.

Light Lifting for Installers and Facilities Teams

Typical jobs include lifting boilers, hot water cylinders and small plant during installation, raising signage and light fittings into place, and moving safes, vending machines and equipment during office or site relocations. The soft webbing protects enamelled, painted and polished finishes that chain or wire rope would easily mark. Use a wear sleeve if the sling will pass over a sharp edge or bracket.

Purple Colour Coding for 1 Tonne

Purple is the EN 1492-1 colour for a 1 tonne sling. It makes the capacity instantly recognisable and helps prevent a 1t sling being used for a heavier load by mistake.

1t Working Load Limits by Hitch

Applying the standard EN 1492-1 mode factors, the WLL in each hitch is:

  • Straight lift: 1,000kg
  • Choke hitch: 800kg
  • Basket hitch (parallel): 2,000kg
  • Basket hitch (0–45°): 1,400kg
  • Basket hitch (45–60°): 1,000kg

These figures are also printed on the sling label.

Small Size, Heavy-Duty Build

Despite its compact size, the sling uses two plies of 100% high-tenacity polyester, giving it more strength and wear resistance than a single-ply sling of the same rating. It has a 7:1 safety factor, is produced in accordance with BS EN 1492-1:2000 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and comes with a Declaration of Conformity.

The blue traceability label shows the WLL, effective working length, unique serial number and mode factors, so the sling can be identified and inspected easily, even as part of a larger kit.

Dependable Wherever the Job Is

The sling can be used from -40°C to +100°C, covering lofts, plant rooms, basements and outdoor sites. Maximum elongation of 3% at WLL keeps smaller loads steady and easy to guide into position.

1t or 2t?

The 1t sling is ideal for lighter installation and maintenance lifts. If your load is close to 1 tonne, or you will be lifting in a choke hitch, choose the PlumAlti 2t Duplex Webbing Sling (Green) for extra capacity.
