Description
Pewag Winner Pro Grade 12 Double Leg Chain Sling Assembly
The Pewag Winner Pro Grade 12 Double Leg Chain Sling Assembly is a high-performance lifting solution designed for balanced and controlled lifting where loads have two attachment points or where additional stability is required. Manufactured using Pewag’s advanced Winner Pro Grade 12 profile chain and assembled in accordance with EN 818-4, this sling combines high lifting capacity with reduced chain weight for demanding industrial applications.
With an approximately 50% higher Working Load Limit (WLL) than Grade 8 and around 20% higher than Grade 10, the Winner Pro Grade 12 system allows users to select a smaller nominal chain diameter while maintaining or exceeding the required lifting capacity. The resulting reduction in sling weight makes the chain easier to handle and rig, helping to reduce operator fatigue and improve efficiency during frequent lifting operations.
Winner Pro Grade 12 Two Leg Chain Sling for Improved Stability
The two-leg configuration distributes the load between two lifting points, providing improved stability and helping to reduce unwanted movement during lifting. It is particularly suitable for machinery, structural steel, fabricated components and other loads designed with two lifting points.
The sling can be used for a range of lifting arrangements, but the Working Load Limit is affected by the angle between the two legs. The load should be evenly distributed between the legs and the appropriate WLL confirmed using the relevant Pewag load chart before lifting.
Oversized Master Link for Improved Load Transfer
Winner Pro Grade 12 two-leg assemblies are fitted with an oversized Grade 12 master link featuring an asymmetrical design. This geometry is designed to optimise contact with crane hooks manufactured to DIN 15401, helping to improve load transfer and reduce wear at the crane hook connection.
The master link design also makes it easier to identify the applicable Working Load Limit for the selected sling configuration, helping operators assess the lifting arrangement before use.
Hook & Shortening Options
Winner Pro Grade 12 two-leg chain slings can be configured with a choice of:
- Sling hooks with latch
- Standard self-locking safety hooks
- Oversized self-locking safety hooks
- Optional shortening grab hooks
Shortening grab hooks can be fitted to individual legs, allowing each leg to be adjusted independently. This provides greater flexibility when levelling uneven or asymmetrical loads without requiring additional rigging equipment.
Each sling is manufactured to order to the required effective working length.
High-Strength, Lightweight Grade 12 Chain
Winner Pro Grade 12 chain provides a high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing smaller nominal chain diameters to achieve higher lifting capacities compared with equivalent Grade 8 and Grade 10 chain.
For applications involving frequent lifting and manual handling, the reduced sling weight can make positioning and rigging easier while reducing the physical effort required from operators.
Each sling is supplied with a Declaration of Conformity and detailed safe use instructions.
Ideal Applications
Pewag Winner Pro Grade 12 Double Leg Chain Slings are suitable for:

Capacity & Load Information
The Working Load Limit of a two-leg chain sling depends on the selected chain diameter and the angle of inclination between the legs.
The stated 3.35t-17.5t WLL represents the supplied product range across the available chain sizes and configurations. The applicable WLL must always be confirmed for the specific sling and lifting arrangement before use.
As the angle between the two legs increases, the forces acting on each leg also increase. The load should be evenly distributed between the two legs and the appropriate capacity selected in accordance with the relevant Pewag load chart.
Never exceed the stated WLL for the specific sling configuration.
