PlumAlti Heavy-Duty Duplex Webbing Sling – 4t WLL (Grey)

Description

PlumAlti Heavy-Duty Duplex Webbing Sling – 4t WLL

The PlumAlti 4 tonne Duplex Webbing Sling is a grey, two-ply polyester sling rated at 4,000kg in a straight lift. It is a practical choice for factory maintenance departments, production lines and workshops, providing a secure, non-marking lift for machine components and tooling that need careful handling.

A Go-To Sling for Maintenance Teams

Planned maintenance and breakdown repairs often mean removing and refitting electric motors, gearboxes, conveyor drums and rollers. A 4t duplex sling has the capacity for most of these jobs and is light enough to carry to the machine, rig in tight spaces and store in a maintenance cage or tool store. The soft webbing helps protect shafts, bearing housings and machined faces from damage during handling.

Suited to Production and Tooling Changes

In manufacturing environments the 4t sling is well suited to changing injection moulds and press tooling, moving assemblies between workstations and handling crated or boxed goods. In vehicle and plant workshops it is a common choice for lifting engines, transmissions and axles. Use wear sleeves wherever the sling passes over sharp edges or rough castings.

Grey Colour Coding for 4 Tonnes

Grey is the EN 1492-1 identification colour for a 4 tonne sling. It allows maintenance staff and operators to confirm the capacity immediately, which is especially useful where several sling sizes are kept together in one store.

4t Working Load Limits

Using the standard EN 1492-1 mode factors, the WLL for each hitch is:

• Straight lift: 4,000kg
• Choke hitch: 3,200kg
• Basket hitch (parallel): 8,000kg
• Basket hitch (0–45°): 5,600kg
• Basket hitch (45–60°): 4,000kg

The mode factors are printed on the sling label for checking before use.

Quality and Compliance

The duplex construction uses two layers of 100% high-tenacity polyester for added strength and longer service life. Each sling has a 7:1 safety factor, is produced in accordance with BS EN 1492-1:2000 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and is supplied with a Declaration of Conformity.

The blue traceability label carries the WLL, effective working length, unique serial number and mode factors, helping you keep accurate lifting equipment registers and inspection records.

Controlled, Precise Lifting

Maximum elongation of 3% at WLL means minimal stretch, so components can be lowered accurately onto mounts, shafts and bedplates. The sling can be used between -40°C and +100°C, covering heated factories, cold stores and outdoor yards.

4t or 5t?

The 4t sling covers most maintenance and production lifts while keeping weight and bulk down. If your loads are close to 4 tonnes, or you need to use a choke hitch, consider the PlumAlti 5t Duplex Webbing Sling (Red).
