PlumAlti Heavy-Duty Polyester Round Sling – 1t WLL

The PlumAlti 1 tonne Polyester Round Sling is a purple, endless sling rated at 1,000kg in a straight lift. Compact and easy to handle, it is a versatile sling for garages, motorsport teams, marinas and workshops, where lighter loads need a gentle, scratch-free lift.

The Ideal Partner for Engine and Workshop Cranes

Many engine cranes and workshop cranes are rated at around 1 tonne, which makes the 1t round sling a natural match. It can be looped around frames, subframes and components, or choked around tubes and brackets, giving a secure attachment point without the risk of chain marking painted or polished parts. Its small size means it can be stored on the crane, in a drawer or in the race-day kit.

Gentle on Bikes, Boats and Leisure Equipment

Motorbikes, quad bikes, jet skis, dinghies and ride-on mowers all have paintwork, fairings and hulls that are easily scratched. The round sling’s soft outer sleeve wraps around these loads without marking them, making it ideal for loading onto trailers, lifting onto stands and positioning in workshops. Use two slings together for longer items such as dinghies and small craft.

Purple Colour Coding for 1 Tonne

Purple is the EN 1492-2 colour for a 1 tonne round sling, making the capacity easy to identify and helping to prevent overloading.

1t Working Load Limits

Using the standard EN 1492-2 mode factors, the WLL in each hitch is:

• Straight lift: 1,000kg
• Choke hitch: 800kg
• Basket hitch (parallel): 2,000kg
• Basket hitch (0–45°): 1,400kg
• Basket hitch (45–60°): 1,000kg

Remember that the crane or hoist must also be rated for the load being lifted.

Compact, Strong and Traceable

Despite its size, the sling carries the load on a continuous core of 100% high-tenacity polyester, protected by a durable outer sleeve. With no fixed eyes, the contact points can be moved between lifts to spread wear. Each sling is produced to EN 1492-2 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with a 7:1 safety factor for standard lifting and 5:1 for specialised applications. A blue traceability label shows the serial number, WLL, effective working length and safety factors.

From Workshop to Slipway

The sling can be used from -40°C to +100°C, so it is just as suitable for marinas, slipways and outdoor events as it is for garages and workshops. Rinse off salt water and grit after marine use and allow the sling to dry naturally.

1t or 2t?

The 1t round sling covers most garage, motorsport and leisure lifts. For heavier loads close to 1 tonne, or when using a choke hitch, choose the PlumAlti 2t Polyester Round Sling (Green).
