The Tiger PROLH Professional Lever Hoist is engineered for operators who demand the highest levels of safety, durability, and mechanical performance. Built to meet and exceed BS EN 13157:2004+A1:2009, ANSI/ASME B30.21, AS1418.2, and SANS 1636 standards, the PROLH represents the culmination of over 50 years of Tiger’s expertise in professional lifting equipment design.
Ideal for overhead transmission, offshore, shipyard, and underground mining applications, the PROLH incorporates a range of advanced safety and performance features, including Tiger’s patented Quad Cam Pawl System and rotational inertia torsion switch brake. This unique dual-action brake automatically engages with the slightest load, removing the need for preload tension and allowing smooth, slip-free handling even at light loads.
The intelligent design eliminates common failure modes associated with traditional “Weston” or “push-pull” brake systems by preventing ingress of contaminants and simplifying freewheeling operation. The bonded, asbestos-free friction discs ensure consistent brake performance under all conditions. The PROLH’s light load protection guarantees brake engagement from as little as 2% of the rated capacity, while the 8-point multi-start pinion shaft doubles brake efficiency and ensures long-term reliability.
Tiger’s one-piece forged pinion gears, premium-grade grease (operating from -40°C to +80°C), and precision-machined components ensure maximum mechanical efficiency and extended service life. The hoist’s drop-forged hooks feature Tiger’s patented “EZ Check” overload indicator, and recessed forgings protect load chain anchor bolts. The robust handle with reinforced side ribs is phthalate-free and designed for maximum operator comfort and control.
Fully tested, each PROLH hoist undergoes proof loading at 1.5× rated capacity and light-load testing at 2% capacity. With optional overload protection, swivel or spark-resistant hooks, and stainless steel load chain, the PROLH offers unparalleled versatility and operator safety.
