Description
The Yalelift LH ATEX Basic is a specialised version of the proven Yalelift LH series, designed for applications in explosion-hazard areas. Fully compliant with ATEX directives II 3G Ex h IIA T4 Gc and II 3 D Ex h IIA T135°C Dc, this hand chain hoist guarantees safe operation in gas and dust hazardous zones while maintaining the low headroom and high flexibility features of the standard LH range.
Featuring a specially developed chain reeving system and chain guide, the bottom block can be pulled laterally and positioned almost flush against the beam flange, optimising lifting height in confined spaces. The hoist maintains the integrated design of the YaleLift LH, using the same push (LHP) and geared (LHG) trolleys as the standard range.
Units up to 3,000kg are configured with a single chain fall, reducing hook-to-hook distance and providing maximum low-headroom efficiency. For trolleys up to 5,000kg, the beam ranges can be configured as:
– Range A: 50–180mm flange width (standard, ~80% of applications)
– Range B: 180–300mm flange width (optional)
The trolley wheels are pre-lubricated, encapsulated ball bearings, allowing smooth movement even on beams with up to 14% incline (DIN 1025 – Part 1). The adjustment system is almost stepless, allowing rapid assembly with simple adjusting nuts. Anti-drop and anti-tilt devices are included as standard for enhanced operator safety.
Optional extras include:
– Adjustable overload protection device
– Chain container
– Rubber buffers
– Corrosion-resistant version
– Beam locking device for “parked” position
The Yalelift LH ATEX is perfect for chemical processing, petrochemical plants, offshore rigs, food production and other environments where explosion protection is mandatory. Its robust, corrosion-protected construction, combined with ATEX certification, ensures safe, reliable operation under hazardous conditions, without compromising the compact, low-headroom advantages of the LH series.
Safety / User Instructions:
– Confirm the hoist is mounted on beams within specified beam width and thickness.
– Do not exceed the stated working load limit (WLL).
– Verify beam profile incline does not exceed 14%.
– Operate the hand chain from a safe distance, clear of suspended loads.
– Conduct regular inspections of the load chain, trolley wheels, hooks, and brake system.
– Use optional overload protection where required.
– Only operate in environments compliant with ATEX-rated equipment regulations.
