Tiger TAH250 Pneumatic Air Hoist

The Tiger TAH250 Pneumatic Air Hoist (25t-60t WLL) is an ultra-heavy-duty pneumatic lifting solution developed for applications requiring exceptional lifting capacity, continuous operation and dependable performance in demanding environments.

Designed for industries including mining, shipyards, offshore platforms, power stations and heavy manufacturing, the TAH250 operates from a compressed air supply of 4-6 bar and provides a 100% duty cycle. This allows the hoist to operate continuously without the duty-cycle limitations commonly associated with electric lifting equipment.

With a lifting capacity range of 25 tonnes to 60 tonnes, the TAH250 is designed for large-scale industrial lifting where high capacity, precise control and robust construction are critical.

Extreme-Duty Pneumatic Lifting

The TAH250 is engineered for applications where conventional lifting equipment may not provide the required combination of capacity and continuous operation.

Powered entirely by compressed air, the hoist is suitable for demanding industrial environments and applications where electrical power may be unavailable or unsuitable.

The 100% duty cycle allows continuous operation, making the TAH250 particularly suitable for repetitive and intensive lifting applications.

Its pneumatic design also provides precise load control, with toggle and pendant control options available for accurate positioning of heavy loads.

High-Capacity Overload Protection

An integral differential pressure load limiter provides automatic overload protection by preventing the hoist from lifting loads exceeding 125% of its Working Load Limit (WLL).

The load limiter is designed to provide repeatable protection across the operating pressure range without generating damaging heat or experiencing mechanical wear.

A fail-safe, self-adjusting disc brake automatically engages when the air supply is stopped, helping to hold the suspended load securely.

The brake is designed to hold more than 125% of the hoist’s WLL.

Powerful Vane Motor

The TAH250 uses a pneumatic vane motor designed to provide high starting torque when lifting heavy loads.

This ensures reliable starting performance under load and allows the hoist to handle demanding lifting applications with controlled and consistent operation.

The pneumatic motor is particularly suited to environments where continuous-duty lifting and dependable starting performance are required.

Sealed Planetary Gearbox

Grade 8 Load Chain

An optional stainless steel chain carrier is available to contain and protect loose chain during lifting operations and transportation between work areas.

Air Supply and FRL System

Tiger pneumatic hoists require a suitable Filter Regulator Lubricator (FRL) system to maintain reliable operation.

The FRL system:

Tiger recommends using a 10-micron airline filter as close to the hoist as possible to help prevent dirt and grit from entering the motor.

The airline lubricator should be installed close to the hoist and operated using suitable light oil. Tiger recommends ISO VG10 lubricant.

Using the correct FRL equipment helps maintain consistent hoist performance and extend component life.
