Description

Warrior EcoWarrior 900kg Electric Mobile Jib Crane

The Warrior EcoWarrior 900kg Electric Telescopic Slewing Mobile Jib Crane is a heavy-duty, fully powered counterbalanced mobile workshop crane designed for industrial environments where flexible lifting and material handling are required without the restrictions of a fixed crane structure.

The free-standing crane combines powered driving, lifting, jib extension and retraction and 240° powered slewing, providing a high level of control and manoeuvrability around workshops, tooling areas and manufacturing environments.

The crane’s jib is mounted on a precision-engineered slewing ring, allowing the jib to rotate through 240° while providing access to a wide working area. Its counterbalanced design provides a mobile alternative to permanently installed lifting structures, allowing workshop layouts to be changed without being restricted by fixed overhead or floor-mounted equipment.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 900kg, the EcoWarrior provides three capacity configurations of 900kg, 450kg and 250kg, depending on the jib configuration.

Fully Powered Crane Functions

The EcoWarrior 900kg is designed to provide powered control across the main crane functions.

The crane features:

  • Powered drive
  • Powered lifting
  • Powered lowering
  • Powered jib extension
  • Powered jib retraction
  • 240° powered slewing

This eliminates the need for manual operation of the primary crane movements and makes the EcoWarrior particularly suitable for repetitive lifting and positioning operations.

240° Powered Slewing Jib

The crane features a 240° powered slewing jib mounted on a precision-engineered slewing ring.

The powered slewing function allows the operator to position loads across a broad working area without needing to reposition the entire crane.

This can be particularly useful in tooling and manufacturing environments where loads need to be transferred between machinery, workstations and storage areas.

Three Capacity Settings

The EcoWarrior provides three stated lifting capacity configurations:

  • 900kg
  • 450kg
  • 250kg

The appropriate capacity depends on the jib configuration and operating position.

The crane should always be operated within the specified Working Load Limit for the selected configuration. The capacity should be confirmed against the manufacturer’s current load chart before lifting.

Powered Telescopic Jib

The telescopic jib provides powered reach and retraction, allowing the operator to adjust the crane’s working reach from the remote pendant control.

A five-function hydraulic distributor provides controlled operation of the hydraulic functions, allowing smooth adjustment of the jib and lifting system.

The crane also features a flow control wheel, which allows the lowering speed to be reduced for applications requiring more controlled load positioning.

Powered Hydraulic Lifting System

The EcoWarrior uses a fully powered hydraulic lifting system controlled through the crane’s electrical control system.

The lift and lower functions can be operated remotely, allowing the operator to control the load without having to manually operate the crane’s hydraulic system.

The system is powered by a 24V battery supply and uses a dedicated electric lift motor.

Battery Powered Operation

The crane is powered by two 12V 120Ah lead-acid batteries, providing a 24V electrical system for the powered crane functions.

A 24V/15A charger is supplied, with a stated full charging time of approximately 8 hours.

A battery-powered configuration allows the crane to operate without being connected to a mains electrical supply during normal use, providing greater flexibility when moving between working areas.

Emergency Stop and Key-Switch Control

The EcoWarrior incorporates an electrical control system with a key switch, voltmeter and emergency stop button.

The emergency stop provides a readily accessible means of stopping the powered crane functions in an emergency.

The system also incorporates lockable rotation, providing additional control over the crane’s powered slewing function.

Remote Pendant Control

Hydraulic crane functions can be controlled using the supplied remote pendant.

Remote operation allows the operator to control lifting and jib functions while maintaining a suitable position relative to the load.

This can be particularly beneficial when accurately positioning loads around machinery, tooling and workstations.

Counterbalanced Mobile Design

The EcoWarrior is a free-standing counterbalanced mobile crane, making it suitable for facilities where installing fixed lifting structures would restrict future layout changes.

Counterbalanced floor cranes are particularly useful in environments where machinery, tooling and workstations may need to be regularly relocated.

The EcoWarrior can therefore provide a flexible alternative to fixed jib cranes and overhead lifting systems for suitable applications.

Designed for Tooling and Industrial Environments

The EcoWarrior’s combination of powered movement, compact design and flexible slewing makes it particularly suitable for tooling environments.

Typical uses can include moving dies, tooling, machinery components, production equipment and other loads around manufacturing and engineering work areas.

The mobile design allows the crane to be moved to different workstations rather than requiring each lifting location to have a permanently installed crane.

Drive System and Manoeuvrability

The EcoWarrior features a 24V 1000W drive motor and powered drive system.

Its stated drive speeds are:

  • 4.0km/h loaded
  • 4.5km/h unloaded

The crane has a 1600mm wheelbase and uses a 250 x 80mm drive wheel with 200 x 50mm front wheels.

The stated gradeability is 5% when loaded and 10% when unloaded.

The crane should only be operated on suitable surfaces and within the manufacturer’s specified operating conditions.
