Description
The Yale Fall Arrest Cable Block range, also known as inertia reel fall arrest devices, provides reliable personal protection for workers operating at height where the risk of falling cannot be eliminated. Used as a last line of defence, fall arrest systems help minimise the distance and consequences of a fall when restraint or collective protection is not practicable.
Operating like a seatbelt, Yale fall arrest cable blocks feature a 4mm steel cable that extends and retracts smoothly during normal movement, reducing slack and improving mobility. In the event of a sudden movement or fall, the internal braking mechanism activates instantly to arrest the fall before impact.
The range is available in cable lengths from 6 metres to 25 metres, allowing users to select the correct device for their working height. All models include a fall indicator in the connector to clearly show if the unit has been subjected to a fall and requires inspection or removal from service. With a 140kg working load limit, these devices are suitable for a wide range of users and tools.
